Earlier this Month, Apple MD, Phil Ashforth
was asked to present the main programme
at the Launch Event for Ring and Reg, an
innovative replacement for Pay and Display,
that uses ANPR cameras that record
vehicles registration plates, negating the
need for Pay and Display machines and the
problem of users always having to find
change to park.

The event was held at the Holiday Inn in
Preston and was attended by an invited
audience of car park owners and
technology partners.

Apple designed and produced all the
marketing collateral for the event as well as
designing the Ring and Reg logo, which is
set to be a common sight in UK towns and
cities. The logo has been approved by The
Patent Office and is being rolled out as car
parks sign up to be Ring and Reg operated.

We have recently moved into a larger
studio, still at the same address in Preston,
allowing for more room to think and have
meetings, and more off-road parking for our
visiting clients.

This has enabled us to put up signage in
the ground floor office which has already
led to a number of enquiries from people
either walking or driving past into Preston
on the busy A6.

Phil Ashforth, Apple’s MD comments, “Now
with a staff of five, we have seen a steady
growth in our team and a greater range of
projects that allow us to work across very
different sectors. The move was necessary
and we have all seen the benefits and look
forward to further growth in the future.”

Further to completing a new corporate
website for Ashton Leigh and Wigan
Community Healthcare, Apple have been
awarded a project to create a further
website for the Stop Smoking service,
within the same Healthcare Trust.

The website features a fresh look and feel
positioning the service as a positive way
forward for those either committed to
stopping smoking, or those members of
the public who are simply interested in
learning more in general.

The site will have links to other sources of
information and will look to benefit from
the growth in social networking platforms
to increase awareness and participation in
smoking cessation programmes.
